Roses in New York

Even in a big ugly city such as New York, there are many exquisite displays of goodness and beauty. Walking through the streets, this display of roses from a street vendor took my breath away. Delaware

Crabs are a major part of the culture of the people around Delaware Bay. The livelihood of the people used to be closely tied to the water, and although this is changing, there are still many people dependent on the ocean's harvest for a living. However, horseshoe crabs are a significant part of the ecology of the Bay. They spawn on the beaches during summer (lay copious amounts of eggs in the sand) which feeds thousands of migratory shorebirds.
